  1. School Supplies Drive

    June 10, 2020, 8:00 AM - July 10, 2020, 6:00 PM @ Pelham Public Library and Pelham Rec Center

    The Pelham Public Library is hosting a school supplies drive for the Shelby County Foster Parents Association, which will help students in foster care in Shelby County. Donations can be dropped off at the library or at the Pelham Rec Center. Acceptable donations include new school supplies, packages of new underwear and socks (children’s sixes xsmall to xlarge), and new or very gently used backpacks.

  1. Virtual Story Time

    July 8, 2020, All Day @ Via Facebook and YouTube

    In April, Pelham Library storyteller Kaylen began offering virtual story times online. The videos proved to be quite popular, so throughout the summer the library will continue to record and post virtual story times. You can watch the videos on Facebook or YouTube, new videos are posted on Wednesdays and Fridays. The Children’s Department would love to hear from viewers, so please respond to posts with comments, questions or book requests.

  1. Girl's Inc: What are Your Intentions? (8th-9th grade girls)

    Girl's Inc: What does it mean to give or take away consent? Learn about physical and emotional safety in friendships and dating, and understand what it means to be an Active Bystander. For girls in 8th and 9th grades Classes will be through ZOOM. To register, click the "To Register" link and fill out the Google form. Last day to register: Wednesday, June 17th / Spaces are limited -register early!
