The City of Pelham was the first city in the State to implement and design a safety incentive program that awarded all employees for being accident free. Since the inception of the program, the City of Pelham has received Alabama’s Safest City Award five out of six years and has been recognized around the United States as being one of the leaders in this category. The monetary savings to the city on Workmen’s Compensation premiums has been significant.
