The City of Pelham operates under a Mayor-Council form of government. The Pelham City Council meets the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers located in Pelham City Hall.
Agendas are approved by noon on the Wednesday prior to Council meeting.
The Mayor and City Council Members are elected at large for four-year terms. The latest municipal election was held the fourth Tuesday in August 2008 - August 26, 2008. Municipal Election Information is available on the home page of this website or by contacting the city clerk at 620-6404. The Alabama Secretary of State website contains valuable information about elections. www.sos.state.al.us
