Easter Seals Walk With Me
March 14, 2009
Veterans Park in Alabaster
Registration starts at 8AM, the walk starts at 9AM. It's a 1.9 mile "family fun" walk to benefit kids with disabilities in our community. After the walk there will be activities and booths to walk around and explore, including CVS Health & Wellness Booth, a Moonwalk, Face Painting, Live Music, and Free Refreshments. It is $25 dollars to receive a T-shirt, and all proceeds from the walk go to support our Pediatric Clinic located in Pelham. Bring the entire family for a morning of fun!
East Seals Pediatric Clinic provides Speech, Occupational and Physical therapy to children ages birth - 21 regardless of their ability to pay for services. They are unique to the area because they are the only Pediatric Therapy clinic in Shelby County that will accept Medicaid and the only one if the Birmingham metro area that offers a sliding pay scale. They receive NO state or federal funding and a primary source of income is the 3rd Annual Walk With Me event .
