The Pelham City Council passed Resolution 2008-06-02-03 to participate in the State of Alabama Sales Tax Holiday beginning at 12:01 A.M. on Friday, August 1, 2008 and ending at 12 midnight on Sunday, August 3, 2008.
This resolution provides for the exemption of city sales tax on "covered items" from municipal sales during the tax holiday weekend defined above, under the same terms, conditions and definitions as provided for in Act No. 2006-574, Sales Tax Holiday Rule 810-6-3-.65. Sales Tax Holiday Rule
The city council will consider participation in the State of Alabama Sales Tax Holiday on an annual basis.
