Pelham Library Presents Bestselling Author
Cassandra King
Bestselling author Cassandra King will visit the Pelham Public Library February 22 at 2:00 p.m. King will talk about her popular books, as well as her upcoming novel. Including stories about a preacherís wife, a young woman taking over her deceased auntís beauty shop, a group of middle aged college friends at a reunion, and a therapist dealing with broken hearts, Kingís southern tales delight readers. If some of the people or places sound familiar it may be because Cassandra King lived for some time in Montevallo.
In addition to her novels, Cassandra King has published stories and essays. She has also taught college writing classes, conducted corporate writing seminars, worked as a human-interest reporter covering Pelham and published an article on her second-favorite pastime, cooking, in Cooking Light magazine. A native of
L.A. (Lower Alabama) she now lives in the low country of South Carolina with her husband, novelist Pat Conroy.
