Due to the approach of possible dangerous weather conditions, the City of Pelham will open its primary designated disaster shelter at 6:00 P.M. on Wednesday September 15, 2004.  This shelter is the Pelham Civic Complex, which is located on Amphitheater Road.

Residents of mobile home communities in the City of Pelham are urged to carefully monitor weather conditions and make plans to go to this shelter or to another place of safety before dangerous weather strikes.

Residents going to the shelter are asked to bring with them enough food for two days and their own bedding.  The Red Cross may provide a limited number of cots.
