| USTA Senior League State Playoff At Pelham Racquet Club |

4/22/2004 Over 400 Players To Compete May 14-16,2004

| The Pelham Racquet Club will host the Alabama State Championships for the USTA Senior League on May 14-16, 2004. Cities from all over the state are sending their local champions which will total 61 teams comprised of 400-500 players. The teams compete on the USTA NTRP levels which flights the players on playing ability and experience. The league is for players fifty and older and all team play is doubles. All teams will play a round robin at their level to determine the state champions. The competition is always intense and close usually being decided on the last day or often the last match. Winning teams will advance to the Southern Sectional Championships to be held in Columbia, South Carolina in July. |
