Pelham Racquet Club will have exciting new additions and new dates on some established favorites for our 2005 tournament calendar.

New to the Pelham Racquet Club will be the Southern Senior Closed for adult tournament competitors in October. This tournament will find the top adult players from around the Southeast playing for a Southern title and ranking points that goes with this prestigious event. In April the USTA Super Senior League Sectional will find it's way to Pelham for the first time. Teams from the nine Southern Sections states will send their state champions at each NTRP level to contest the other state champions for a chance to go to the National Championship Tournament. We are very happy to host two of the great Southern Championships here at Pelham.

There will be date changes to some of our established events that you have looked to play in each year. The Player's Choice Championships will move from July to the first weekend in June. This will also be the week before the USTA League State Championships begin in Mobile. The always tough competition will let players advancing to Mobile tune up their game. The Alabama Senior State Closed will move up to August from September. This "Grand Slam" of Alabama tennis will be even more intense and hard fought this year. The Pelham Fall Classic will change from October to November providing a late season opportunity for match play and to enhance your ranking before year's end.

The USTA Pro Circuit $25,000 Challenger will return next Fall as well. This event excited everyone this year with the tremendous level of play of some of the world's top touring professionals. Plan to attend several sessions or the entire week to enjoy top-flight tennis from these pros from around the world.
