The Pelham Racquet Club will once again host the Alabama State Closed Tournament for seniors in the 35 thru 85 divisions. This is the fifth time Pelham Racquet Club will have this event and this year brings a new date for play. This year the tournament will take place August 25 - 28. This is slightly earlier than the September dates that have held the previous four years.

There should once more be very competitve draws as the top tournament players in the state will compete for an Alabama title. The "Closed" designation means that you must be an Alabama resident to enter.  Singles and doubles for men and women in the 35 thru 85 divisions (with 5 year increments) will be offered. Mixed doubles will be offered in 35, 45, 55, & 65 divisions. The entry deadline is Monday, August 22nd at 6:00 P.M. and the entry fees are $30.00 for singles and $40.00 per team in doubles. Lunch will be served for the players on Saturday, August 27th from 10:30 until 1:30 in the dining area upstairs in the Clubhouse.
