Kids and Teens

Pelham offers a number of attractions for children and young people.  There are a variety of youth programs at our award-winning public library, ranging from preschool storytimes to  the Junior Librarians club for preteens.  The Oak Mountain Amphitheater hosts a wide range of musical events with concerts by the most popular recording artists.  For the sports-minded there is ice skating at the Pelham Civic Complex, baseball, softball, football and cheerleading at the Pelham City Park, tennis at the Pelham Racquet Club, as well as hiking and golf at Oak Mountain State Park.  The McWane Center, a hands on discovery museum for children, is just minutes away.  Other favorite attractions include the Birmingham Zoo and the Botanical Gardens.
