The Pelham City Council approved the FY 2004 budget at the September 15, 2003 council meeting. Highlights of the budget include three additional employees, a 5% raise for employees, an increased benefit in family medical coverage for employees, an appropriation of $10,000 to continue the median beautification project and a K-9 Unit for the Police Department. Projected revenues totaled $27,623,565.27 compared to $26,750,136 budgeted in FY 2003 which represents a 6.59 % increase.
Construction projects for the coming year include completion of Fun Go Holler Park, Ballantrae Golf Course and a senior citizen center.
