The City of Pelham has scheduled an Entrance Examination to establish a list of eligible candidates who meet the minimum acceptable requirements for the below listed position in accordance with the requirements of the City of Pelham Civil Service Law.

Position:  Firefighter

Examination date and time:  Assigned upon receipt of application

Location of examination:  Pelham Fire Department Training Center at 663 Stuart Lane

Applications:  Available at Pelham Fire Department Station One (3162 Pelham Parkway and behind Pelham City Hall) between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM Monday through Friday starting January 6, 2003 and continuing thrugh Friday January 24, 2003.

Completed Applications:  Will be accepted at Pelham Fire Department Station One (3162 Pelham Parkway and behind Pelham City Hall) between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM Monday through Friday starting January 20, 2003 and continuing through January 24, 2003.

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or bonafide G.E.D. certificate.  Applicants must be able to complete the entry physical test and other requirements as stated in the application.  Preference will be given to candidates who currently possess the following:  *Alabama EMT Paramedic License (Credentialed)  *Firefighter I Certification (Alabama)
