Peggy Bates, City Clerk 

Peggy Bates was appointed City Clerk in January 1991.  Peggy earned her Certified Municipal Clerk title from the International Institute of Municipal Clerks through the Department of Continuing Education at the University of Alabama.  She is an active member of the Alabama Association of Municipal Clerks and the International Institute of Municipal Clerks.  Peggy serves on the Local Government Records Commission in Montgomery and is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Greater Shelby County Chamber of Commerce.
