The City of Pelham will be accepting applications for employment and entrance testing for the position of Dispatcher in the Pelham Police Department.
This sheet has been prepared to assist you in the completion of the application and submitting the completed application for the test. It is preferred that you complete the application by using the link below for a PDF fillable form; or you may print the form; handwritten is acceptable, but MUST be legible, using black ink. (Applications received in pencil will be disqualified.) Blank applications may also be picked up at City Hall, Main Building, (Room 109) Human Resources, 3162 Pelham Parkway, Pelham, AL 35124 beginning at 8:00AM, August 17, 2015 and August 31, 2015 at 5:00PM. City Hall is open Monday through Friday 8:00AM – 5:00PM.
You must fully complete all items on the application. If any question or section is not applicable to you then use the notation ‘N/A’ in the appropriate space. A false answer to a question in the application may be grounds for not employing you; or grounds for dismissal after hiring. All statements are subject to investigation.
Do not attach copies of certificates, transcripts or resumes to the application.
Completed applications MUST be submitted in person, to City Hall, Main Building, (Room 109) Human Resources, 3162 Pelham Parkway, Pelham, AL beginning at 8:00AM – 5:00PM, Monday, August 17, 2015 until 5:00PM, Monday, August 31, 2015. (City Hall is open Monday – Friday, 8:00AM – 5:00PM.)
You will be required to show photo ID at the time you submit your completed application. You will then be given test instructions, location and any other materials necessary for the test.
Test date is Tuesday, September 22, 2015. You will be notified in a separate letter of the specific time of your test. Testing location is the Pelham Police and Municipal Court building located behind Pelham City Hall. A map will be included in your instruction letter. The computerized test is approximately 2.5 hours.
