The City of Pelham is currently accepting applications for a full time position of Equipment Operator with the Facilities & Landscape Management department. This job involves manual labor of some semi-skilled and skilled nature including both heavy and light physical labor in a wide variety of city activities as it relates to routine maintenance of the City’s infrastructure, such as, but not limited to:
- Detailed landscape management; operations of mowers including zero-turn and front-deck mowers; responsible for maintenance and repair of equipment; irrigation installation and repair; pesticide, herbicide licenses a plus.
High school diploma or GED required. Minimum three years’ experience in the area of landscape management; use of lawn equipment, tools and other equipment in landscape/irrigation maintenance and repair work. Must possess and maintain a valid Alabama driver’s license.
Salary and benefits beginning at $34,000.00 depending on experience, education, credentials and certifications.
