Welcome to Pelham Youth Basketball. We started the program after discovering a need in the community for a more competitive basketball program. We play by Alabama High School Rules with only a few local rules that are in place. The goal of the program is teaching basketball fundamentals and pushing the players to the next level. Our philosophy is to “never let the players know they can’t do something”. It is wonderful to watch the adaptation to full court basketball with 10′ goals. We play our neighboring cities of Helena, Alabaster, Calera and Montevallo, and try to play during the weekdays so that the weekends are free to enjoy as a family.
3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th Grade Pelham Youth Basketball registration dates are October 10th, 2015 and October 17th, 2015 from 9:00am – 12:00pm at Pelham Parks and Recreation Office. The cost is $120 per player. Evaluations will be held by Coach Joel Floyd at Pelham High School on Sunday, October 25th from 1:00pm – 2:00pm for the 3rd and 4th graders, and 2:00pm – 3:00pm for the 5th and 6th graders.
